A renewable energy solutions company is seeking a Sales Manager to develop and manage sales of photovoltaic modules and energy solutions in the Italian market. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of sales experience in solar energy and client acquisition skills, alongside proficiency in English and Italian, with a preference for candidates with knowledge of the Italian PV market. This role requires travel and offers the opportunity to participate in trade events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage sales of photovoltaic modules, inverters, battery storage systems, and integrated energy solutions in the Italian market;
  • Identify and acquire new clients through direct outreach, networking, exhibitions, and online platforms, including EPC contractors, distributors, installers, energy utilities, and industrial clients;
  • Execute sales strategies and achieve assigned sales and revenue targets;
  • Provide technical support and tailor energy solutions during the pre-sales phase;
  • Lead business negotiations, proposal preparation, and contract execution;
  • Coordinate with internal departments (engineering, logistics, finance, etc.) to ensure successful delivery and project implementation;
  • Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to provide strategic feedback;
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and generate regular sales reports;
  • Promote brand visibility and participate in trade shows and renewable energy events.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of proven sales experience in the solar energy, energy storage, or industrial equipment sectors;
  • Strong ability in client acquisition, relationship management, and sales pipeline development;
  • Familiarity with the Italian renewable energy policy landscape and PV market structure is highly preferred;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and intercultural coordination skills;
  • Proficient in both English and Italian; Chinese language skills are a plus;
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes; driving license preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of inverters, hybrid systems, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), or PV plant integration;
  • Experience attending international energy exhibitions (e.g., KEY ENERGY, Intersolar);
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite;
  • Previous work experience in a Chinese or international renewable energy company is a strong advantage.
