Location: UK (commuting distance to Cambridge or Manchester)

Salary: £75,000 Basic + 12% commission

Our client is a leading provider of web-based solutions that streamline R&D processes to foster innovation and accelerate scientific discoveries. Due to continued growth, they now require a new Sales Representative based in the UK.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in life sciences and a passion for leveraging technology to advance scientific research. There is currently a team of three support staff in the UK, and we are looking for someone to drive new business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value of their solutions.
  • Identify and engage potential pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Provide feedback to the product development team based on client interactions.
Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the life sciences software industry.
  • Experience selling to pharmaceutical, biotech, and research organizations.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics.
  • Strong understanding of R&D workflows and laboratory informatics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a remote territory.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and Europe as needed.
