BACKGROUND

Sales Performance Management (SPM) is a line of business within SAP, focused on the growth and success of the SPM portfolio. The SPM portfolio includes tools and processes that drive revenue-generating behaviors and resources needed for organizations to meet their goals.

The SPM solutions include SAP Incentive Management, SAP Agent Performance Management (for Insurance), SAP Territory and Quota, among others. SAP Incentive Management and Agent Performance Management are flagship solutions that help optimize incentive management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

The SPM ASE role is a global customer-facing position, serving as an SPM domain expert. The role involves mapping product capabilities to customer requirements to help the sales team secure technical wins. The ASE supports SPM deals across new and existing opportunities, acts as a technical liaison, and articulates the SPM value proposition clearly. Responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with customers on SPM opportunities
  • Delivering customer demos and presentations, including configuration when needed
  • Conducting discovery calls and analyzing customer requirements
  • Creating clear RFx responses
  • Providing post-sales support where necessary
  • Supporting partners during sales cycles
  • Collaborating across SAP functions: Sales, Marketing, Product Management, GTM, Services, Partners
  • Supporting cross-sell initiatives within SAP lines of business
  • Participating in marketing and demand-generation events
  • Understanding and articulating competitive advantages
  • Thinking creatively and taking on additional tasks as needed

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-7+ years in a Presales role
  • Strong background in Sales Performance Management (SPM)
  • German language proficiency required
  • Experience with Callidus/SAP SPM preferred
  • Excellent communication and demonstration skills
  • Strong leadership and executive presence
