Hill's Pet Nutrition cherche un Sales Manager pour la région Toscane, responsable de la croissance des ventes et de la gestion des relations avec les cliniques vétérinaires et les magasins spécialisés. Vous effectuerez des visites, atteindrez des objectifs de vente et participerez aux événements du secteur tout en développant une expertise approfondie en nutrition animale pour soutenir les clients.

Job Summary

The Hill’s Sales Manager (SM) is responsible for growing Hill’s business (sales, distribution, market share, and Brand Recommended Most Often "BRMO") in the assigned territory of Tuscany North, including Firenze, Prato, and Pistoia.

The Sales Manager manages relationships with veterinary clinics and specialty pet retail stores in the territory, ensuring Hill’s is the strategic partner of choice and gaining support to grow Hill’s business.

What you will do

  • Product Knowledge
  • Develop and maintain high standards of knowledge in small animal nutrition, Hill’s, and competitors’ products through training and self-study.
  • Territory Management
  • Achieve sales targets by managing customer visits, handling commercial and financial aspects, and engaging internal stakeholders.
  • Review potential of accounts and identify new accounts (Pet & Vet Customers).
  • Maintain accurate records in Hill’s reporting system.
  • Utilize company tools to drive execution (product distribution, detailing materials, sampling, etc.).
  • Clinic / Store Business Development
  • Develop deep knowledge of customer businesses, build networks with key decision-makers, and provide professional support through seminars, technical training, and merchandising.
  • Identify opportunities and develop propositions that meet the needs of both Hill’s and customers, aiming for BRMO leadership.
  • Manage multi-store customers and implement commercial activities to ensure product awareness, distribution, visibility, and endorsement.
  • Establish shelf space and maintain inventory within stores.
  • Business & Financial Management
  • Monitor achievement of objectives and develop strategies to adapt to business environment changes.
  • Meetings & Conferences
  • Represent Hill’s at trade shows, meetings, and special events.
  • Education / Experience Required

    • Master's degree in Veterinary, Animal Science, or equivalent (considered a plus).
    • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the nutrition, veterinary, or pharmaceutical industry.

    Additional competencies / skills

    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and selling skills.
    • Customer-oriented with problem-solving attitude.
    • Strong time management, planning, and budget management skills.
    • Proficient in computer skills and company tools.
    • Fluent in Italian and good English skills are required.
    • Valid driver’s license required.

    Working Relationships

    • Reports to Field Sales Manager.
    • Works closely with Marketing and Veterinary Affairs teams.
    • This role does not have direct reports.
