Job Title: Sales Manager

Department: Sales & Marketing

Reports to (position): Director Business Development

JOB SUMMARY: The Sales Manager is responsible for developing business through direct sales solicitation, securing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, and executing tactical sales plans through a result-driven approach. They aim to secure target results mainly in the B2B segments, especially MICE, contributing significantly to sales objectives. Represents Milan Marriott Hotel, Rome Marriott Park, Ortea Palace Hotel, Sicily – Autograph Collection, and Delta by Marriott Giardini Naxos in strategic national and international sales activities, both regional and local, aligned with the commercial plan. The Sales Manager will manage their own account portfolio, leveraging a solid network and a customer-centric approach.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

  • Identify new or existing markets/accounts that align with the properties' sales strategy.
  • Develop a sales action plan to generate business from identified markets/accounts.
  • Determine the needs of each account and plan marketing activities accordingly.
  • Monitor the performance of the account portfolio and take corrective actions.
  • Maintain and develop RFPs with Marriott Global Sales Offices.
  • Analyze current market situations and competitors regularly.
  • Attend commercial meetings and translate revenue analyses into sales activities.
  • Plan and execute office visits and site inspections to increase visibility and generate leads.
  • Use internal reports and external sales tools to generate new business.
  • Organize and participate in familiarization trips, sales trips, and roadshows.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Hospitality.
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the hotel industry or similar, preferably with international brands and in the MICE segment.
  • Possession of a driver’s license.
  • Fluent in Italian and English (written and verbal); second language preferred.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Diplomacy and effective dealing with management, clients, and team members.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive in seeking new business opportunities.
  • Team player and motivational leader.
  • Enthusiastic about learning and development.
