The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining sales with existing customers as well as generating new markets for Kubota engines. This position serves as the primary window and direct link for all activities and communication between distributors, customers, and Kubota.
Duties and Responsibilities
Kubota is a leading manufacturer of industrial engines known for quality and performance. Our business operates B to B (Business to Business), and we do not sell finished products directly to end users. Requests typically come from existing or potential new customers, driven by Kubota's reputation and long-term project planning (budgeting). Maintaining relationships with existing customers increases sales and market share, while exploring new business opportunities with potential customers. Our customers are manufacturers of industrial machinery, and communication primarily occurs with their purchasing and engineering departments.
- Communicate with your counterpart in the Sales and Marketing department at Kubota headquarters (Japan) to manage projects (development, quotation, engine specifications, production, delivery, etc.).
- Coordinate projects with Kubota's engineering team according to Kubota's engineering processes.
- Prepare and maintain a travel schedule demonstrating commitment to the assigned territory, including routine customer visits.
- Monitor market trends and needs, analyze data, and recommend solutions using your knowledge of theory, principles, and technology.
- Coordinate and monitor delivery statuses between Kubota Japan and Kubota Europe.
- Plan business travel within Kubota Europe and to Kubota headquarters.
Knowledge, Skills, and Professional Aptitudes

- Approach customers and colleagues in Japan with enthusiasm.
- Analyze market positioning and propose ideas for business development.
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English is required.
- Customer visit reports and monthly sales reports in English are mandatory.
Education and Experience
- Associate's degree in a relevant field or significant experience in various roles.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in selling industrial products.
Other Requirements
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel by air.
- Teleworking permitted twice a week, except during training periods.
Additional Notes
- If you do not hold a passport for the country where the vacancy is located, a work permit may be required.
