Travelzoo Sales Manager [Hotels] - Italy (m/f/d)

Travelzoo has an opening for a Sales Manager [Hotels], based in Milan, reporting to the Head of Sales, Hotels. This role focuses on growing our presence in Italy by managing current hotel client portfolios and generating new business.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Sourcing, negotiating, and closing deals with hotels on behalf of Travelzoo members worldwide through cold calling and direct sales.
  2. Consultatively selling Travelzoo's online distribution solutions, including rates, CPC, CPA, and fixed fees.
  3. Developing relationships with premium hotels and hotel chains via phone and in-person sales trips across Italy.
  4. Meeting or exceeding quarterly sales goals through account development and new business acquisition.
  5. Collaborating with colleagues across Europe and North America to leverage opportunities and secure optimal content.
  6. Building internal relationships with key stakeholders in production and publishing.
  7. Creating strategic territory plans to maximize sales opportunities.
  8. Tracking sales activities using Salesforce.
  9. Representing Travelzoo at client meetings, conferences, and events.

Ideal candidate profile:

  • Degree educated or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record in hotel sector negotiations.
  • Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Skilled in planning and executing online hotel sales strategies.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, presentation, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Independent and results-oriented work ethic.
  • Knowledge of the online travel/media industry.
  • Self-starter and team player.
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
