The Role

Our Sales Grocery Team manages onboarding of key grocery retailers in Italy that are not yet partnered with Deliveroo. As our business scales, we become a major revenue channel for Grocery Partners, providing support and using data-driven insights to foster growth. The team is passionate, dynamic, and excels at building relationships across functions.

What you’ll be doing :

  • Pitch and close grocery partnerships proactively via channels like cold calls, visits, and meetings.
  • Manage your pipeline to ensure high conversion rates and exceed volume and quality targets.
  • Lead end-to-end sales negotiations and offers to meet business objectives.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding, from registration to operational launch and sales generation.
  • Support strategic initiatives such as field pitch days and marketing rollouts.
  • This is an individual contributor role; no team management involved.

Skills & Requirements :

  • 4-7 years of B2B sales experience in groceries, retail, or FMCG (MUST).
  • Passion for data and a data-driven mindset (MUST).
  • Fluent Italian and English (MUST).
  • Strong knowledge of the GDO industry (MUST).
  • Self-driven with a proven sales record and portfolio scaling appetite.
  • Phone-based sales experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills across face-to-face, phone, and email.
  • Perseverance and resilience in facing rejection.
  • Competitive spirit and team-oriented attitude.
  • Lifelong learner with curiosity and willingness to test new ideas.
  • High emotional intelligence and persuasive skills.
  • Team player capable of collaborating effectively.
