Position: Sales Manager Extrusion

The Sales Manager Extrusion is responsible for sales in the Italian & MEA markets, focusing on gear pumps, complete extrusion solutions, and spare parts from the Maag Group portfolio. The role involves maintaining and developing relationships with key customers, OEMs, and end users, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and a proactive approach.

Key Products and Responsibilities
  • Familiarize with products such as gear pumps, filtration parts, screen changers, spare parts, and aftermarket services, in collaboration with teams in Italy and Switzerland.
  • Achieve sales targets within the extrusion market (Virgin Polymer, Plastic & Rubber Processing, Recycling).
  • Maintain active customer relationships and develop new clients and agents.
  • Contribute to the development of value-based sales tools, utilizing in-field examples.
  • Understand the competitive environment and develop strategies to sell against competitors and anticipate market trends.
  • Collaborate with other divisions within MAAG to grow the business.
  • Prepare quotations aligned with customer specifications, working with the back-office team.
  • Follow up on offers, generate leads, and meet targets for order intake, sales, margins, and costs.
  • Support marketing activities such as market analysis, exhibitions, and conferences.
  • Efficiently transfer order information internally once an order is received.
  • Travel up to 50% within Italy and other responsibility countries.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within the industry.
  • Experience in the extrusion, polymer, or gear pump industry is advantageous.
  • Proactive, business-oriented commercial attitude.
