Ohmium is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Manager who thrives in diverse business environments and can adapt to varying business models. In this pivotal role, the Sales Manager will be responsible for driving proposal/contract development, order entry management, and serving as a frontline deal desk interface within the European Sales Team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in proposal and contract development and managing order processes. They should also demonstrate enthusiasm for continuous business process improvement and proactively identify opportunities for efficiency and innovation. Reporting to the Vice President Sales - Europe, this individual contributor role has a global scope, supporting Ohmium's worldwide commercial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generating high-quality sales leads: Finding and following up on initial contacts, developing existing contacts, securing and renewing orders, negotiating prices, completing sales, and arranging deliveries.
  • Providing technical and commercial presentations: Explaining Ohmium's products and services to customers.
  • Discussing with customers and engineering contractors: Equipment needs, system requirements, business cases, and risk mitigation.
  • Tender and Offer Preparation: Preparing high-quality tenders, offers, and internal support documents to enhance sales team productivity and ensuring all sales materials are up-to-date.
  • Order Entry Handling and Verification: Processing orders received via email, ensuring accuracy in pricing, discounts, and product details, and preparing order intake packages for timely delivery.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Building relationships with operations, engineering, project management, legal, and finance to handle sales, marketing queries, and deliveries efficiently.
  • Proposal and Contract Development: Supporting the legal and commercial teams by standardizing and driving proposal and contract processes.
  • Document Review: Reviewing specifications, RFIs, RFQs, proposals, and contracts for accuracy, suggesting balanced solutions.
  • Commercial Governance: Ensuring all proposals and contracts are approved within the company's governance framework.
  • Contract Negotiation Management: Managing the contract negotiation process, vetting new terms for approval.
  • CRM Data Accuracy and Enhancements: Collaborating with Commercial Operations to maintain CRM data accuracy and recommend system improvements.

Desired Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics CRM; experience with CPQ/CLM tools is advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
