Purpose of position

The Italian Team is seeking a commercially focused and detail-oriented Sales Manager for B2B / existing clients to oversee commercial renegotiations. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our Awin Italian clients and their support teams on all commercial and contractual matters. You will play a key role in mitigating client risks while identifying opportunities to implement long-term strategies that reduce churn and foster stronger, lasting client relationships.

As part of this responsibility, you will manage contract negotiations with existing customers, ensuring that all discussions lead to win-win-win outcomes. By adhering to best practices in negotiation management, you will secure economically beneficial results while meeting the specific needs of each client. Additionally, you will be involved in cross-selling, upselling, and presenting new products to existing customers. Your goal is to understand the unique business needs of each client and effectively coordinate the approach for all negotiations to ensure both client satisfaction and business success.

Key Tasks

  • Contract Negotiations & Sales
  • Conduct direct contract negotiations with existing customers at every stage of the sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate closely with account management to position Awin’s new products and demonstrate their value.
  • Present Awin’s new pricing structure to existing customers.
  • Advise customers on their service needs and create tailored offers.
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to generate additional gross profit.
  • RFP Management
  • Manage business RFPs (Request for Proposals) from existing customers, ensuring high-quality delivery through effective project management.
  • Coordinate required teams to ensure seamless execution of RFPs and meet customer expectations and timelines.
  • Dispute Resolution & Risk Management
  • Facilitate the resolution of contractual and commercial disputes, ensuring both Awin’s and client requirements are met.
  • Process Optimization & Account Retention
  • Proactively contribute to process improvements, managing key milestones within contracts (e.g., renewals, terminations, and deliverables).
  • Support customer conflict management and retention by developing commercial solutions that strengthen client relationships.
  • Commercial Focus & Client Relationships
  • Ensure Awin’s unique selling propositions are effectively communicated, leveraging a strong understanding of competitor tools and technology.
  • Manage and resolve contract queries, including but not limited to security audits, DPAs, and T&Cs.
  • Work empathetically with clients to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes, listening to their needs and problem-solving.

Skills & Expertise

  • Negotiation & Closing: Excellent negotiating, persuading, and closing skills with a strong commercial mindset.
  • Performance Marketing & E-Commerce: Performance marketing experience and technical knowledge of the e-commerce sector strongly advantageous.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish as well; comfortable in B2B sales conversations.
