We are seeking a driven and strategic Sales Manager to lead our commercial efforts in Italy. Based in Italy, this role will focus on cultivating relationships and securing contracts with developers, IPPs, EPCs, and financiers, while also exploring opportunities in surrounding Southern European markets. The ideal candidate will bring strong market knowledge, customer engagement skills, and a proven track record in large-scale solar project sales. Fluency in Italian and English is required; Spanish is desirable but not compulsory.

You will report directly to the VP, Europe, and work closely with product, operations, and global business development teams to grow our footprint in Italy and deliver exceptional value to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the sales strategy for Italy, aligned with Nextracker’s regional and global objectives.
  • Manage the full sales cycle—from early engagement and proposal development to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with solar developers, EPCs, IPPs, and financial stakeholders in Italy.
  • Identify new business opportunities, monitor market trends, and assess competitive positioning within the Italian market.
  • Support pipeline forecasting and deal structuring to meet revenue targets and maintain healthy margins.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to customize technical solutions and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Represent Nextracker at key industry events, conferences, and customer engagements in Italy and relevant European markets.
  • Maintain accurate records and forecasts in CRM systems such as Salesforce and Netsuite.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of sales or business development experience, ideally in solar, renewable energy, or power infrastructure.
  • Proven success in closing large-scale PV or infrastructure deals.
  • Established network within the Italian solar developer, EPC, and IPP communities.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience in complex deal structuring and contract negotiation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; Master’s degree a plus.
  • Fluent in Italian and English; Spanish is desirable but not compulsory.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Italy and occasionally to other European markets.
