Packaging (Food Sector Focus)

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced

to lead

business development activities in Italy

for our innovative packaging solutions, with a strong focus on the

food industry . This is an

individual contributor role , ideal for a proactive, hands-on professional with a strong commercial network, technical understanding of packaging, and a passion for opening new doors and building long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities :

Identify and develop new business opportunities across Italy, targeting food producers, manufacturers, and distributors. Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospects, converting leads into long-term customers. Understand client needs and propose tailored packaging solutions that add value and ensure compliance with food industry standards. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, pricing strategies, and potential partnerships. Represent the company at trade fairs, industry events, and client meetings. Collaborate with internal teams (product, operations, and technical) to ensure seamless project execution. Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and strategic plans to support growth objectives. Act as the local market expert, providing insights into customer behavior, regulatory environment, and market dynamics.

Requirements :

Proven track record (7+ years) in

B2B sales or business development , preferably in

packaging or industrial sales

within the

food industry . Strong understanding of packaging materials, solutions, and compliance standards in the food sector. Existing network of contacts in the Italian food industry is a strong plus. Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and manage the full sales cycle. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Fluent in Italian and proficient in English. Willingness to travel across Italy (and occasionally Europe) for client meetings and industry events. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Food Technology, or related field.
