We have an exciting opportunity for a creative Sales Director! This role is for a new IL Property opening soon. If you have pre-leasing experience, this might be the job for you!

The Sales and Marketing Director is responsible for generating and managing leads through marketing and sales efforts to qualify prospects and move them through the admission process, aiming to achieve occupancy targets. Develop marketing, public relations, and advertising programs to build referral sources and promote the property’s programs. Spend most of the workweek marketing and selling outside of the community, maintaining knowledge of the property’s services, local market trends, and competitors.

Reports to: Executive Director

Pre-leasing experience: Preferred but not required

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
  1. Develop an organized marketing and sales approach to meet occupancy targets.
  2. Maintain budgeted occupancy by generating inquiries, referrals, tours, and closing sales.
  3. Achieve targeted closing ratios using effective sales methods.
  4. Respond to inquiries promptly, follow-up, and document interactions in CRM.
  5. Update referral, mailing, and customer information regularly.
  6. Build and develop a network of community and professional referral sources.
  7. Maintain outside referral database and meet weekly marketing contact goals.
  8. Coordinate pre-admission assessments with the team.
  9. Provide accurate information to healthcare providers, families, and residents about community services.
  10. Document all prospect and resident interactions thoroughly.
  11. Present community services to interested parties, adhering to policies and advertising standards.
  12. Develop and sustain a referral base through personal visits and networking events.
  13. Ensure model and respite rooms are ready and maintained daily.
  14. Conduct daily community walk-throughs for tour readiness.
  15. Complete weekly marketing reports for the Executive Director.
  16. Meet daily with the Executive Director to discuss census, inquiries, and tours.
  17. Participate in networking functions and maintain CRM accuracy.
  18. Track referral sources and success rates.
  19. Assist with move-in processes as needed.
  20. Collaborate on marketing and advertising strategies with the regional team.
  21. Be available for tours and sales presentations as needed.
  22. Conduct market analysis twice a year or as directed.
  23. Contribute to promotional materials and public relations efforts.
  24. Participate in daily team meetings.
  25. Perform clerical duties related to the role.
  26. Stay current on aging, assisted living, and dementia care through ongoing education.
  27. Assist with special events setup and teardown.
  28. Follow infection control standards and safety protocols.
  29. Promote teamwork and maintain a professional appearance.
  30. Ensure a safe environment for staff, residents, and visitors.
  31. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
