Our company is a leading global player in the industrial machinery sector. As part of our ongoing growth strategy, we are seeking a dynamic Sales Director to drive market expansion and strengthen our commercial operations.
1. Business Strategy & Market Expansion
- Assess the current product portfolio and optimize the offering, balancing standard catalog machines with customized, project-based solutions to maximize value.
- Conduct detailed market analysis to identify new business opportunities, target segments, and alternative sales channels.
- Develop and implement a structured commercial strategy aligned with the company’s global growth objectives.
- Expand and strengthen the company’s business network by identifying and cultivating relationships with key industry players, distributors, and strategic partners to drive sales and market penetration.
2. Sales Development & Key Account Management
- Lead business development initiatives in key international markets, with a focus on Europe, North America, and Asia.
- Expand market reach across both standard and tailor-made solutions, ensuring a strong competitive position in both sectors.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key customers and partners, fostering trust and loyalty to drive sustainable business growth.
- Monitor key sales KPIs, including pipeline development, conversion rates, profit margins, and customer satisfaction, implementing corrective measures when necessary.
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of Area Managers, ensuring consistency in sales strategies, efficient market coverage, and optimal customer engagement.
3. Cross-functional Collaboration & Process Optimization
- Work closely with the CEO to align sales initiatives with broader corporate restructuring and operational goals.
- Provide strategic insights to enhance sales processes and drive the digitalization of commercial operations.
- Ensure seamless collaboration between sales, production, R&D, and project management teams to enhance customer experience and optimize order execution, particularly for custom-engineered solutions.
4. Financial & Performance Analysis
- Collaborate with the CFO to manage sales budgets, enhance profitability, and ensure financial sustainability.
- Analyze financial and sales data to assess business performance, providing senior management and stakeholders with actionable insights and recommendations.
PROFILE:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in business development or sales roles within the industrial B2B machinery sector
- Demonstrated success in driving market expansion and sales growth for both standard catalog machines and custom-made, project-based solutions.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience in pricing strategies, margin optimization, and financial analysis.
- Ability to analyze markets, streamline product offerings, and develop effective go-to-market strategies.
- Solid leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience coordinating sales teams and external partners.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
