Business Development Leader

The Business Development Leader will spearhead the expansion of our market presence in the office interior solutions sector, focusing on premium, flexible, and sustainable office furniture systems tailored for general contractors, design studios, and high-value corporate clients. This strategic leadership role involves driving the entire business development process, from identifying opportunities to leading complex negotiations and securing long-term commercial agreements.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Strategic Client Portfolio Expansion : Build and diversify the client base by forging strategic relationships with architecture firms, interior design studios, and key players in the contract sector, emphasizing the value of innovative, customizable office furniture solutions.
  • End-to-End Relationship Management : Oversee complex, long-term client relationships, collaborating with technical, design, and project management teams to deliver tailored, high-performance workspace solutions that prioritize modularity, sustainability, and aesthetic excellence.
  • Solution Promotion & Innovation : Champion the company's portfolio of modular wall systems, acoustic solutions, and bespoke furniture, driving adoption and contributing to the evolution of cutting-edge, client-centric offerings.
  • Brand Elevation : Represent the company at high-profile trade fairs, industry events, and networking opportunities to enhance brand authority and showcase the versatility and design excellence of the product range.
  • Market Intelligence : Lead in-depth market analysis, monitoring competitor strategies, industry trends, and emerging needs in workspace design to inform business strategy.
  • Strategic Planning : Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute commercial strategies, prioritizing key geographical markets and driving sustainable growth in the office interior sector.
  • Team Leadership & Development : Mentor and guide junior sales team members, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with delivering innovative and sustainable workspace solutions.

Requirements :

  • Experience : 5–7 years in commercial management roles within office furniture, contract, construction, or interior design sectors, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth through premium workspace solutions.
  • Existing client base in the contract office industry, especially in the high-end sector.
  • Industry Expertise : Deep knowledge of general contractors, design studios, and corporate client ecosystems, with established networks and an understanding of modular and sustainable office furniture trends.
  • Negotiation & Relationship Mastery : Exceptional ability to build trusted, long-term relationships and navigate complex, high-value negotiations with senior stakeholders in the design and construction sectors.
  • Leadership Qualities : Strategic, results-driven mindset with strong initiative, operational autonomy, and the ability to lead and inspire teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Mobility : Willingness to travel extensively within Italy and internationally to support business development and client engagement.
  • Language Proficiency : Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken); proficiency in additional languages (e.g., French, German, or Spanish) is highly desirable.
  • Education : Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, architecture, design, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
