We are seeking a Sales Consultant in Building Solutions for our Building Technologies & Solutions division in Milan.

As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for building and maintaining long-term relationships with consultants, as well as promoting Johnson Controls products and solutions.

How you will do it

  • Establish ongoing partnerships with consultants.
  • Manage proposals to ensure quotes meet customer application and operational needs.
  • Prepare technically accurate, timely, and commercially verified quotations, offering comprehensive solutions.
  • Validate assumptions during promotion meetings and develop detailed cost estimates and scopes of work.
  • Prepare proposals and communication documents for consultants.
  • Provide risk analyses for complete solutions.
  • Understand the full range of Johnson Controls offerings and their applications.
  • Devise multiple solutions to meet specific program requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with consultants.
  • Identify specification issues or discrepancies and provide solutions.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and critical areas.
  • Review estimates with operations and sales teams to reach mutual agreement.
  • Involve estimators and PDEs to develop offerings and bundle solutions.
  • Own the value proposition to consultants by optimizing the link between their operations and our business objectives, needs, and solutions to provide total value and competitive advantage.
  • Understand and apply knowledge of competitors’ products and solutions.

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Five to eight years’ experience in building systems (BMS and Integrated solutions) or operational processes.
  • Strong technical expertise to establish credibility and trust.
  • Commercial mindset to build partnerships with customers.
  • Ability to influence consultants on technical project choices.
  • Strong teamwork attitude.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Fluent in Italian and English (verbal, reading, writing).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
