Wolters Kluwer's Corporate Performance & ESG Division is seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Global Manager, Sales Compensation to join our team and lead compensation initiatives that span multiple regions. This role is critical to shaping the global sales compensation strategy and driving the performance of our sales teams worldwide.
Position Overview: As the Global Manager, Sales Compensation, you will lead and manage the design, development, and execution of sales compensation programs for our global sales teams. You will oversee the compensation strategy and ensure alignment with business objectives and market trends. The ideal candidate will have experience managing global sales compensation teams and possess deep knowledge of Xactly software. You will work cross-functionally with Sales Operations, HR, Finance, and other key stakeholders to ensure that compensation programs effectively drive motivation, performance, and business results.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and management of sales compensation programs across multiple global regions, ensuring they are aligned with the company’s strategic objectives and market competitiveness.
Oversee the creation and management of compensation models, forecasts, and simulations using Xactly software to support data-driven decisions and compensation strategy.
Lead and mentor a team of sales compensation analysts and specialists, fostering a collaborative environment focused on results and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement territory and quota planning strategies, ensuring fair and equitable distribution of opportunities across all regions and sales teams.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of compensation plans, making adjustments and recommendations as necessary to optimize sales performance and drive motivation.
Collaborate closely with executive leadership, Sales Operations, HR, and Finance to communicate and implement compensation plans, ensuring clarity, buy-in, and alignment across the organization.
Partner with senior leaders to develop insights on compensation trends and continuously enhance the compensation framework based on industry best practices and evolving business needs.
Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to senior leadership on the long-term impact of compensation decisions, ensuring global scalability and alignment with regional needs.
Manage the annual compensation cycle, including plan design, modeling, communication, and rollout across multiple regions and functions.
Stay abreast of global market trends and regulatory changes that could impact sales compensation programs, ensuring compliance and competitiveness.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
At least 6 years of experience in global sales compensation roles, with at least 2 years of experience managing a global team.
Expertise in using Xactly software for compensation planning, modeling, and analysis.
Proven track record in managing sales compensation strategy, implementation, and rollouts across multiple global regions.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing cross-functional teams in a global, matrixed organization.
Expertise in territory and quota planning, sales performance modeling, and compensation analytics.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
Experience working in a highly collaborative environment, leveraging strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across global teams.
Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
