As a sales associate, you will be the face of our company, highlighting our brand and image while contributing to building our reputation as a customer-focused organization. You will be responsible for assisting customers and helping them recognize the need for our products and services. Must be capable of learning about our offerings and articulating our purpose in an educational, insightful, and professional manner. A positive, outgoing nature that enjoys serving others and making a positive impact is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Customer Service
    • Proactively engage with customers and make a connection.
    • Ask questions and listen to customer needs.
    • Inform customers about merchandise, upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, STAR card, and other services.
    • Provide premier customer service and build positive, respectful relationships.
    • Take accountability for your actions and outcomes.
  2. Organization
    • Maintain store appearance.
  3. Sales
    • Cross-sell products and be familiar with store layout.
    • Suggest products based on customer needs and current trends.
    • Upsell products and leverage company tools for product knowledge.
    • Use Point-of-Sale systems for transactions, including cash handling, discounts, gift cards, and credit/debit processing.
    • Complete paperwork, reports, and reconciliation tasks.
  4. Inventory
    • Manage merchandise, perform inventory checks, and ensure proper ticketing.
    • Participate in periodic inventories as needed.
  5. Dependability
    • Adhere to work schedules and follow through on assignments.
  6. Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Product Knowledge: Basic understanding of products and merchandise.
  • Experience: Retail experience preferred but not required.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills; ability to read, write, and interpret instructions; communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic math functions.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to multi-task, be attentive, flexible, and work well independently or as part of a team.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role involves constant movement, talking, hearing, reaching, and standing for extended periods. May include stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and lifting 25-50 lbs. Work is primarily indoors, with outdoor assignments depending on location. Vision abilities include close, color, and depth perception.

Additional Skills and Work Hours

Enthusiastic, friendly, energetic, and committed to providing outstanding service. Willing to work various hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Eligibility

This position is open to U.S. citizens who are Active Duty Members or family members of U.S. Military or Civilian personnel currently assigned to Sigonella, Catania, Italy.

  • Authorization Chit for supplemental employment from your Command (Active Duty Only)

Ensure that the address provided for background checks is a physical address; military addresses like FPO cannot be used.

No experience required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
