Youman, Italian Search Firm, is currently supporting DayBreakHotels, one of its most pioneering customers, in the search of a :

Sales & Business Development Manager

DayBreakHotels ( ) is an Italian VC-backed scale-up selling hotels’ rooms and services during daytime. It operates in 17 countries worldwide and now counts over 6,000 affiliated hotels including many top international hotel chains.

DayBreakHotels combines the worlds of e-commerce, travel, hospitality, luxury and entertainment, and its HQ is based in Rome.

Mission

As a Sales & Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for the acquisition of new hotel partners and for the presentation, discussion and negotiation of new partnerships and distribution agreements.

Responsibilities
  • Leading a small team and carrying own target to contract new hotel partners;
  • Establishing / managing relationships with hotel groups, management companies and independent hotels, particularly in our key markets (IT, UK, US, DE);
  • Developing, supporting and managing a team of 2-3 junior sales specialists, defining their goals and monitoring their performance;
  • Tracking the KPIs of the sales and distribution activities and presenting the results;
  • Identifying, contacting, discussing and negotiating agreements with companies that may be good marketing or distribution partners.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar sales / business development roles;
  • Experience in the hospitality sector;
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in negotiating with major hotel accounts or with online travel agencies or other hospitality or travel companies would be considered a strong plus;
  • Strong drive, proactive approach, solid quantitative skills, analytical thinking & structured work processes;
  • Adaptability, empathy and emotional intelligence;
  • Passion for supporting and contributing to the growth of junior colleagues;
  • Ability to maintain and manage a sales CRM and other software typically used by digital businesses;
  • Ability to work in an international environment.
