We are looking for a Sales Account Manager Italy to join our Flavors Europe team based out our office in Milan.

Reporting to the sales manager, thesales account manager will be responsible for developing value-added ingredient sales activities to food industry accounts (Sweet, Savory, Beverage). A major focus in this role will be engaging and collaborating with key decision makers to develop and obtain new sales. This includes developing, implementing and managing account-specific strategies to achieve sales goal and coordinating creative projects to bring benefit to the customer.

What you’ll do:

  • Regularly visit prospects and customers with presentations to understand their needs and link with product portfolio across Sweet, Savory, and Beverage.
  • Interface with primary customers’ purchasing and technical organizations in order to solicit new business, and to participate actively on long term projects.
  • Develop and manage relationships with top management with selective major accounts.
  • Develop and execute a territorial coverage plan (in writing).
  • Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of all assigned accounts.
  • Ensure high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Submit request for samples or projects: ensure that adequate information is on the request so that product management can make appropriate business decisions.

What you’ll bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
  • Fluency in Italian (spoken and written) and in English is mandatory, to interact with technical and support teams in the UK & France.
  • Sales or technical experience with a proven track record of driving sucess with clients; junior applicants will also be considered.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to multiple customers through assigned territory (travel can be up to 60%).
  • Ability to work both autonomously as well as with a team: you will bring a high level of self-discipline, motivation, and go-getter winning mentality.
  • Be a good relationship builder with excellent communication skills.
