Job Description: Sales Account Director Leisure - The Gritti Palace Hotel, Venice

The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Venice, part of Marriott International, is recruiting for a Sales Account Director Leisure. The role reports to the Director of Sales and involves working with a passionate team in a setting renowned for art, elegance, and Venetian culture. The hotel is known for exceptional service, culinary excellence, and hosting prestigious events like the Biennale, Carnival, and Venice Film Festival.

Role Responsibilities

Manage a targeted portfolio of accounts, focusing on the US luxury transient segment. Build and maintain relationships with key buyers, implement strategic account management to achieve market share goals, and leverage Marriott's products and services to drive revenue and loyalty. Develop and execute account strategies to maximize business, support the hotel's sales team, and contribute to overall sales success.

Candidate Profile

  • 2-year degree in Business, Marketing, Hotel Management, or related; 3 years' sales/marketing experience OR a 4-year degree with 2 years' experience
  • Legal right to work in Italy
  • Fluent in Italian and English; French is a plus
  • Knowledge of US market preferred

Core Activities

  • Develop and implement account strategies, grow revenue, and penetrate new business
  • Maintain accurate account information and leverage legal and industry knowledge
  • Deliver excellent customer service and build customer loyalty
  • Identify and seize new business opportunities, monitor competition, and support market needs
