At Mollie, we’re on a mission to make payments and money management effortless for every business in Europe. Partnerships, including Technology Partnerships, are a critical part of our commercial strategy to scale in Italy and plan towards profitable growth. We are looking for a strong, commercially driven individual to drive expansion by acquiring new SaaS Technology Partnerships in Italy.

Your opportunity

You’ll be based in the Milan office and will regularly travel to our office in the Netherlands. You’ll build and close relationships with technology companies across the country. You are data-driven and can independently manage a pipeline of partnership opportunities, balancing short-term impact with long-term strategy. These tech partnerships primarily focus on embedded payment solutions in sectors such as Hotel & Booking, Ticketing, and Food Ordering.

You’ll work closely with local and central teams. Reporting to the Lead Technology Partnerships, Bart Hendriksz, and accountable to Rick Emondts, Head of Market Expansion, you’ll be part of our global Customer Engagement team.

What you will be doing
  • Scan the Italian market for potential partnership opportunities and reach out to potential partners.
  • Manage the partnership opportunity pipeline in the region.
  • Develop and review business cases for new partnership opportunities.
  • Guide prospects from initial contact to becoming a live, ramped-up partner.
  • Implement go-to-market strategies for the Technology Partnerships channel, aligning with regional commercial strategies (Sales, Marketing, etc.).
  • Represent Mollie at industry events across Europe to enhance our position in embedded payments.
What you will bring
  • 3+ years of experience in Sales or Business Development within Fintech or SaaS.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline with both strategic deals and high-velocity transactions, including negotiations.
  • Cross-functional experience with internal and external stakeholders in an international setting.
  • Strategic, analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to build trust-based relationships with potential partners.
  • Native Italian and fluent in English.
  • Willingness to work abroad for 20 days per year (excluding high-risk countries).
  • Enjoy €60/month net for personal care, plus various lifestyle and health benefits.
