Demand & Supply Manager

Our client is a well-established international industrial manufacturing group with a global footprint and multiple production sites worldwide. The company operates in a highly dynamic market and focuses heavily on continuous process improvement, digital transformation, and operational excellence. They offer a structured, international environment where cross-functional collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams is key to their global market success

-- MISSION --

Operating as a critical individual contributor within the Group Supply Chain department, you will act as the strategic and operational "pivot" for the organisation. Your core mission is to orchestrate global S&OP processes and oversee intercompany data flows. You will be responsible for strengthening the operational link between international subsidiaries, ensuring seamless alignment across Sales, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing divisions.

-- RESPONSIBILITIES --
  • S&OP & Forecasting Cycles: Lead and optimise the operational execution of the global S&OP framework alongside quarterly forecasting cycles; manage end-to-end data gathering and prepare executive meeting agendas.
  • Demand Alignment & Portfolio Complexity: Reconcile commercial sales forecasts with international manufacturing capacities, successfully managing balancing acts across a complex portfolio of over 45,000 products.
  • Consensus Forecasting & Stakeholder Management: Partner closely with Regional Managers and Sales Directors to validate market inputs, utilising strong personal authority to constructively challenge raw commercial data and secure a unified consensus forecast.
  • Intercompany Supply & Sourcing Synchronisation: Supervise internal group transactions (subsidiaries acting as mutual suppliers/customers) and look for triangular shipping opportunities to streamline distribution; troubleshoot and resolve electronic data transmission blocks alongside the IT department.
  • Procurement & Order Management: Manage the launch of purchase requisitions for trade and intercompany finished goods, tracking the entire fulfilment cycle to ensure strict adherence to agreed-upon delivery dates.
  • Inventory Optimisation & Global Stock Policies: Perform regular audits of stock levels across all group warehouses, defining and updating semi-annual safety stock parameters for finished goods while reallocating slow-moving items to higher-consumption hubs.
  • Digital Transformation & Continuous Improvement: Drive the evolution of forecasting tools in collaboration with IT, proposing advanced system solutions involving complex ERPs, Power BI reporting, APS software, and predictive AI tools.
-- REQUIREMENTS --
  • Education: Master’s Degree in Management Engineering (Ingegneria Gestionale) or an equivalent technical/industrial background with a deep understanding of production planning algorithms.
  • Professional Experience: 5 years of solid experience in S&OP coordination, Demand/Supply Planning, or Supply Chain Analytics within structured manufacturing environments. This is a highly autonomous, expert role (Individual Contributor with no direct team management).
  • Technical Stack: Highly proficient with advanced ERP software (e.g., SAP, MS Dynamics 365, SAGE), data visualisation platforms (Power BI), and Advanced Planning & Scheduling tools (e.g., Cyberplan or similar APS software).
  • Languages: Native/C2 Italian and fluent English (minimum B2/C1 level), essential for daily business communication with international plants and subsidiaries.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset combined with high social intelligence. We are looking for a proactive, decisive professional who can stand their ground with Plant Managers and Sales executives without being intimidated, while maintaining a practical, "hands-on" approach to daily operational issues.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel and make short trips abroad, especially during the onboarding phase, to map out the logistics and manufacturing dynamics of the international subsidiaries.
