Located in the vibrant heart of the fashion district of Milan, The Carlton, opening in 2025, will feature 71 rooms and suites, a restaurant, a wellness center, and an exclusive garden lounge with stunning city views. Designed by Olga Polizzi in collaboration with Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen, the interior will blend tradition and modernity to deliver an authentic Milanese experience. Situated overlooking Via della Spiga, renowned for luxury boutiques, and close to Via Montenapoleone, The Carlton aims to become a new landmark in the fashion district.

The Position

ROOMS DIVISION MANAGER

Main Purpose

The Rooms Division Manager oversees Front Office and Housekeeping, acting as an ambassador of excellence with a focus on quality and guest care. Responsibilities include managing operations, strategies, and development of the Rooms Division, ensuring high service standards, and supporting department managers to meet key performance indicators.

Reports To

The manager reports to the Hotel or General Manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage Room Division departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Concierge) to ensure effective operations and standards.
• Model Rocco Forte Hotels' service style, emphasizing personalized guest interactions and location knowledge.
• Recruit, appraise, and develop department staff, fostering talent management and training.
• Ensure guests are greeted warmly and professionally per hotel standards.
• Develop and monitor the operating budget for the Rooms Division, including revenue, costs, staffing, and equipment, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Assist in complying with health and safety regulations within the division.
• Implement innovative strategies to enhance the guest experience.
• Support hotel projects such as weddings, conferences, and partnerships.
• Analyze market trends and competitor benchmarks to inform strategies.
• Collaborate with other managers to achieve hotel goals and deliver personalized guest experiences.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience as a Room Division Manager in 5-star hotels.
• Fluent in Italian and English; additional languages (Spanish, French, or German) preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in PC applications.
• Understanding of national labor laws.
• Demonstrates leadership, strategic thinking, and operational excellence.
