Our Room attendants are responsible for cleaning and servicing Guests’ rooms to provide a pleasant and comfortable experience. They ensure all suites and rooms are inviting and spotless, and address Guest queries politely and knowledgeably.
They collaborate with Public spaces attendants, HSK porters, Laundry team, Butlers, Front Office, and Maintenance staff under the supervision of the HSK Director, Assistant HSK Director, and Floor Supervisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean assigned Guest rooms according to hotel standards: making beds, dusting, replenishing amenities, cleaning floors, windows, bathrooms, and vacuuming carpets.
- Restock mini-bar beverages and food items.
- Verify proper condition and functioning of all room items during cleaning; report repairs needed to the Floor Supervisor.
- Clean corridors and public areas around guest rooms; maintain cleanliness of offices, wardrobes, equipment, and pantries.
- Stay informed about hotel products and services to answer Guest questions.
- Respond to Guest questions/requests in a friendly manner; take appropriate actions or refer to Floor Supervisors if needed.
- Support Guests with requests, such as Lost & Found procedures.
- Check linens, towels, and equipment; report discrepancies and maintenance needs.
- Record relevant information on assignment sheets; report special situations or incidents at shift end.
- Carry out porter services like linen delivery and laundry processing as required.
- Additional tasks may be assigned based on hotel needs.
- Follow hotel security, health, safety, and hygiene policies.
Qualifications
- Experience in luxury hotels as Room Attendant or Public Spaces Server preferred.
- Knowledge of hotel procedures and conduct standards.
- Ability to anticipate Guest needs and provide professional, welcoming service.
- Maintain personal grooming and hygiene standards.
- Understand guest levels (VIPs) and room categories.
- Work well under pressure.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment, supplies, techniques, and chemical safety.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical stamina for repetitive tasks and heavy lifting.
- Good communication skills in Italian and English.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Legal right to work in Italy.
