ABOUT ORIENT EXPRESS LA MINERVA, ROME

Considered the beloved capital of the Orient Express legend, Rome will host the first Orient Express Hotel, "La Minerva," at the end of 2024. In partnership with the Italian luxury hotel group Arsenale S.p.A., Orient Express has entrusted the interior architecture and artistic direction of the hotel to Hugo Toro. The former Palazzo Fonseca, a sumptuous 17th-century palace with a majestic façade, is adorned with Roman columns, sculptures by Rinaldo Rinaldi, a disciple of Canova, and the fascinating goddess Minerva. Job Description

Our Room Attendants are responsible for cleaning and servicing guests’ rooms to ensure a pleasant and comfortable experience. They ensure all suites and rooms are inviting, spotless, and address guest queries politely and knowledgeably.

Room attendants collaborate with Public Space attendants, HSK porters, Laundry team, Butlers, Front Office, and Maintenance staff under the supervision of the HSK Director, Assistant HSK Director, HSK Supervisor, and Floor Supervisors.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Clean assigned guest suites and rooms according to hotel standards: making beds, dusting furniture, replenishing amenities, cleaning floors, windows, and bathrooms, and vacuuming carpets.
  2. Restock beverages and food in the mini-bar.
  3. Verify that all is in proper condition during cleaning; report repairs to the Floor Supervisor.
  4. Maintain cleanliness of corridors, public areas, HSK offices, wardrobes, equipment, and pantries.
  5. Stay informed about hotel products and services to answer guest questions.
  6. Respond to guest questions/requests in a friendly manner, taking appropriate actions or referring issues to supervisors.
  7. Assist guests as needed, including following Lost & Found procedures.
  8. Check linens, towels, and equipment; report discrepancies and maintenance needs.
  9. Record relevant information on assignment sheets for record-keeping and inquiries; report any special guest attention or incidents at shift end.
  10. Perform HSK porter services when required, such as delivering linen or processing laundry.
  11. Perform additional tasks as needed to support hotel operations.
  12. Follow hotel security, health & safety, and hygiene policies and procedures.
