The IIT - Italian Institute of Technology in Genova invites applications for a Technician position focused on hardware design of innovative robotic and mechatronic systems, funded within INAIL ErgoCub-2.0. The role is a contract position up to 17 months, located at IIT CRIS – Via San Quirico 19D, Genova.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team under the Human-Robot Interfaces and Interaction unit, designing, prototyping and integrating mechanical components, sensors and control hardware to

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field.
• Experience in mechanical design, prototyping, or hardware integration.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Inventor or similar).
• Good English language skills and basic MS Office knowledge.

Mansioni

• Design, prototype, and assemble mechanical and mechatronic components for robotic platforms.
• Integrate sensors, actuators, and electronic hardware into new systems.
• Test, validate, and troubleshoot prototypes.
• Collaborate with researchers to translate designs into functional hardware.
• Maintain and document laboratory equipment and platforms.
• Support robot–human interaction experiments.
