Great opportunity for Registered Nurse (RN) looking to join a high-level professional team in a Level One Emergency Department.
Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.
Schedule: Full Time 7p-7a 36 hours per week
Unit Summary
Busy ER in level One Trauma Hospital - Certified Chest Pain and Stroke Center.
Our Registered Nurse (RN) staff are proficient in Stroke and STEMI activations and established care guidelines.
This is a fast-paced ER environment whose success is dependent on teamwork. We have 50 exam rooms and 6 trauma bays.
RNs work closely with ED Providers, Social Workers, Registration, etc. because we are truly in it together!
The Emergency department primarily cares for adult populations, but we do care for pediatric patients as needed.
Registered Nurses (RN) can be involved in Improvement projects, Shared Governance, department committees and councils. Everyone's voice matters.
This unit provides staff the ability to learn new skills, improve time management, and be a part of a team that is focused on making ED experiences 'Better for Everyone.'

Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse, oversee patient care using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. Secure patient travel. Know about patient needs in healthcare. Help patients and prevent issues. Follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act and delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies.
