We’re currently seeking Registered Nurses to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas; The #1 one city in the nation for Nursing opportunities and advancement! Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.

Why Medical Telemetry?

Our Medical Telemetry Unit is a 38-bed unit focused on providing a high level of direct and individualized care. This unit affords you with ample learning opportunities with a full spectrum of medical diagnoses and comorbidities. Our Medical Telemetry unit also offers:

1. Resident Physician designated Teaching Unit
2. ED door to door admissions
3. Highly engaged team
4. Supportive management team

We have a varied medical/telemetry population including:

1. Sepsis
2. Chest Pain
3. Patients requiring isolation or admission to negative airflow rooms
4. Patients requiring skin and wound care- DHFT, PEGs, Wound Vacs
5. Diagnostic procedures including thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, paracentesis, angio-cath, pacemaker insertions and chest tubes.
6. Nasogastric Insertion and Maintenance
7. Enteral Feeding Tube Insertion and Maintenance
8. Patients requiring cardiac monitoring due to chest pain or arrhythmias
9. Patients with GI abnormalities
10. Trach care, CBI, IV Therapy

Requirements of the Ideal Candidate:

1. Graduate of RN School of Nursing
2. ADN required
3. Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Board of Nurse Examiners
4. Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
5. Functions competently and effectively under pressure and emergency situations

Qualifications

1. We are looking for someone who has completed an established program in Nursing.
2. At least (2) two years in the field.
3. Registered Nurse License.
4. You must have Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of being hired.
