The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Retail Construction Manager – South Europe to join our Retail Construction Team based in Milan, Italy. This role is ideal for a proactive individual aiming to lead construction projects for a renowned designer toy brand. You will oversee new store openings across Europe, from initial feasibility to project completion and handover.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full project lifecycle for multiple retail stores in South Europe
  • Oversee projects at different stages, ensuring timely delivery
  • Conduct site visits, meetings, and defect inspections
  • Monitor project schedules and budgets, reporting progress and issues
  • Coordinate with landlords, designers, contractors, engineers, and internal teams
  • Prepare and present budgets for approval
  • Conduct bidding processes and select contractors
  • Collaborate with vendors to meet delivery standards
  • Ensure compliance with policies, technical specs, and regulations

Requirements

  • At least 4-5 years in construction management, preferably retail or F&B sectors
  • Proven experience managing multi-site projects on time and within budget
  • Knowledge of construction methods, design, and European building codes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines
  • Willingness to travel across Europe for site supervision

Desirable

  • Proficiency in CAD or project management software
  • Professional certifications such as PMP
  • Fluency in English and Italian; additional European languages like Spanish are a plus
