Competenze

Job Description:

The Restaurant Supervisor provides independent initiative and judgment, leadership, and direction to ensure efficient, effective, and profitable operation of the F&B Venue assigned at the Grand Hotel Timeo, supporting F&B initiatives as required. He/she manages the day-to-day operations of the assigned F&B departments, commensurate with running a successful commercial enterprise.

The Restaurant Supervisor is required to take full ownership and accountability for the assigned F&B Venue, running daily operations independently of the Grand Hotel Timeo. Ensure all routine matters are handled effectively without guidance and interact with employees within immediate business areas. Maintain and update departmental filing systems for easy access to documentation. Adhere to company procedures and rules, maintain confidentiality, and ensure high work standards. Establish high participation levels during pre- and post-opening stages to set operational standards in line with international F&B standards.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensure grooming standards are adhered to, reflecting a professional image for guests.
  • Conduct pre-service briefings for daily updates and follow up on tasks prior to guest arrival.
  • Meet and greet guests professionally and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate mise en place levels.
  • Promote upselling techniques to maximize venue profitability.
  • Control and maintain beverage stock, conducting monthly inventories.
  • Coordinate food and beverage service with managers and assistants efficiently and accurately.
  • Respond proactively to guest queries, taking appropriate action in the absence of managers, with effective communication.
  • Report and follow up on maintenance issues affecting service delivery.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products, services, facilities, equipment, procedures, policies, standards, promotions, and activities.
  • Ensure records of guest orders and transactions are maintained via Silverware.
  • Communicate guest satisfaction matters appropriately for corrective action.
  • Serve food and beverages according to guest needs and expectations.
  • Maintain HACCP standards.

Requirements

  • At least one year in a supervisory position in the F&B Department with project management ability.
  • Sound knowledge of food & beverage products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and understand management functions.
  • Ability to check cost control reports and understand internal organization of a catering department.
  • Knowledge of hygiene standards and HACCP requirements.
  • Familiarity with menu engineering.
  • Experience with banquet revenue generation and yield management is advantageous.
  • Good understanding of P&L analysis.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are desirable.
  • Refined skills in public relations.
  • Proficiency in Typing, Windows XP, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Projects.
  • Knowledge of LQA standards is a plus.
