The ACS Dobfar Group, a leading Italian multinational specializing in the production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Finished Pharmaceutical Products , on behalf of its subsidiary Infomed Pharma S.A. is looking for a Plant Managing Director.

This role is based at the manufacturing plant near Tunisi in Tunisia.

Position Summary :

The Plant Managing Director is responsible for leading and overseeing all operations at INFOMED PHARMA’s manufacturing site. This executive-level role ensures that all functions—including production, engineering, quality, safety, sales, and logistics—operate efficiently and in alignment with corporate objectives, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.

  • Production Manager
  • Engineering & Maintenance Manager
  • HSE Manager
  • Warehouse & Logistics Manager

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead, direct, and coordinate the daily operations of the INFOMED PHARMA manufacturing facility.
  • Represent the company by liaising with government agencies, regulatory bodies, chambers of commerce, and public institutions.
  • Approve policies, processes, and documentation within scope.
  • Allocate resources (financial, human, technological) to achieve business goals.
  • Supervise and collaborate with department heads to ensure cohesive and efficient operations.
  • Monitor and analyze production systems, ensuring optimal output and compliance with KPIs.
  • Drive change management and lead initiatives to improve performance and reduce costs.
  • Perform analysis of manufacturing materials and determine optimum control levels.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, HSE, and environmental regulations.
  • Oversee inspections from regulatory authorities and clients; define and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead manufacturing operations to meet the company production targets and quality standards.
  • Oversee the hiring, promotion, transfer, and performance recognition of employees at all levels—including officers, middle management, and operators—while determining their roles, qualifications, and compensation within the scope of authority.
  • Ensure proper training, development, and motivation of teams to foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Provide strategic direction to the Sales Department.
  • Define and manage sales operations in alignment with company objectives.
  • Oversee negotiations with vendors and partners to meet commercial goals.
  • Achieve and exceed revenue targets within budget constraints.

Required Technical Competencies :

  • Strategic and operational planning
  • In-depth knowledge of sterile manufacturing processes
  • Proficient in current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
  • Experience managing internal and external audits
  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities
  • Vendor and supplier management expertise
  • Fluent in Italian ( preferably mothertongue)
  • Fluent in English or French (both written and spoken)

Education & Experience Requirements :

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related industrial discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role within pharmaceutical or sterile manufacturing
