A leading luxury furniture company is seeking a Residential Sales Specialist based in Milan. This role involves servicing existing trade clients and developing new leads. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in the luxury furniture industry, strong relationship-building skills, and is fluent in both Italian and English. You will spend considerable time visiting clients outside the showroom, ensuring a hands-on approach to sales and client engagement.

We are looking for a Residential Sales Specialist based in the Milan Showroom.

He/she will actively develop markets by:

  • Servicing existing trade clients such as interior design firms, architects, purchasing agents, and dealers.
  • Developing new sales leads through targeted phone calls, emails, and in-person visits.
  • Outreaching to interior designers and trade to make product presentations, develop new business, and manage design details efficiently.
  • Assisting clients throughout the sales process: product selection, design advice, quote preparation, and sales closure.

We seek a highly successful, sales-oriented individual with a thorough understanding of the high-end and luxury furniture industry and its purchasing process. Ideally, the candidate has experience in a similar position, with knowledge of key decision-makers, influencers, and a strong network of architects, interior designers, and dealers within the high-end furniture sector.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the luxury furniture or a similar industry.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Experience working effectively within a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills; high proficiency with computers and new technologies such as Office, Adobe, and AutoCAD.
  • Willingness to spend approximately 50% of time outside the showroom visiting clients and prospects.
  • University degree; interior design or architecture degrees are preferred.
  • Fluent in Italian (native level) and English; additional regional languages are a plus.
