A leading aerospace company seeks a Resident Engine Field Service Representative for military aircraft engines in Northern Italy. This role involves providing technical support, managing engine maintenance, and liaising with customers to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with technical standards.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide an high-level of technical assistance regarding the operation of the power plant
Manage, as primary interface, any concerns and technical evidences arising from maintenance activities on engines at Customer premises
Lead and ensure the effective exchange of information between the Customer and Avio Aero, in particular with the System Engineer, Program Manager and Fleet Manager, concerning the management of engine program
Liaise with Customer operational department to ensure timely and effective response to technical issues
Support System Engineers in problem identification and possible solutions to support the military customer in the decision whether to remove an engine from service, after evaluating all possible troubleshooting operations in order to solve the problem "on-field”
Support and arrange the receiving of engines, accessories and engibe parts to and from Company sites
Ensure monitoring, recording and updating of the availability and the status of the engine fleet
Be accountable to support military customer in planning the maintenance inspections
Lead the support to military customer on interpretation and application of technical publications and Service Bulletins/PTAs (Prescrizione Tecnica Apllicativa), advice on engine operability, assistance in solving the problems that may arise during training, maintenance or operational activities
Support military customer on PTAs embodiment, updating of the engine configuration related to the activities accomplished at the Organizational and Intermediate Maintenance Levels
Liaise with the Fleet Manager on the availability of engine parts and accessories at the customer warehouse, to support the Organizational and Intermediate Maintenance Levels activity at the military customer site and Depot Maintenance Level at the Avio Avio Plant
Support the military customer in updating the technical documentation (Engine Logbook, Accessories Log Card, PTAs, Compliance Status, etc.)
Ensure support on the management and use of the engine Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) as prescribed by the applicable Technical Publications
Manage, coordinate and arrange any Avio Aero technical intervention for schedule and unscheduled maintenance activities
Liaise with the Customer in coordination with Avio Aero the service data collection for engine and life limited parts
Autonomously executes, as necessary, maintenance operations tasks and makes evaluations of the collected results
Act as a Certifying Staff related to engine maintenance activities
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar field or a technical High School Diploma with previous solid experience in similar role
Proven knowledge of turboshaft and turboprop engines, accessories, installations, control and monitoring systems as well as interfaces with airframe
Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical scheme of complex equipment
Knowledge of configuration control rules, processes and procedures
Knowledge of Engine Logbook for consultation and analysis of Engine and Engine Parts data
Ability to read and understand Nomenclature Catalogues, engine Technical Publications, regulations and applicable procedures (maintenance manuals, parts catalog, calibration procedures) as well as Change Proposal, Technical disposition and Repair Schemes/Instruction;
Ability to evaluate area of improvement of existing maintenance procedures
Strong MS Office knowledge
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong Customer mindset
Eligible for NATO Security Clearance;
Fluent Italian and English
Holder of EMAR 66 / AER(EP).P-66 MILITARY AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE LICENCE (B1/C) or EASA equivalent
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
Desired Characteristics
Knowledge of T700 and AE2100 engines, accessories, installations, control and monitoring systems as well as interfaces with airframe is a plus
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
Prior experience working in the military environment
Ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
