For our Sales & Marketing Team, we are looking for a Reservations & Events Trainee to join Anglo American Hotel in Florence, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton brand.

The ideal candidate will strictly follow all company and brand procedures and plans to contribute to achieving and exceeding the hotel's targets, in collaboration with the team.

Objective of this role

Below are the minimum requirements to be shortlisted for this internship role:

  • Highly computer literate with excellent presentation skills (including PowerPoint), confident in using all Microsoft Office tools.
  • Native or fluent in Italian (written and spoken).
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Additional languages are a plus.

Must be an EU citizen or in possession of an Italian work visa.

The Meetings & Events Trainee we are seeking must be highly organized, possess good communication skills, and be able to relate to and perform with the operations team, sales manager, and reservations department.

He/She will support negotiation and conversion of incoming group opportunities and build strong relationships with clients by supporting and following them through all steps of the negotiation process until the day of arrival.

Core job responsibilities and duties
  • Support in managing RFPs, following company and brand standards and procedures.
  • Maintain constant updates on CRM with opportunities, calls, account information, tasks, and projects.
  • Ensure PMS (OnQ by Hilton) is properly and constantly updated with all necessary information (rates, inventory, etc.).
  • Focus on achieving personal KPI conversion goals.
  • Manage events and groups from initial offer to client arrival.
  • Contribute ideas to improve standards and develop new products and services.
  • Support organization and follow-up of site inspections and Fam Trips on the property when required.
