The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, part of Marriott International, is currently seeking a Reservations Intern. This is a full-time internship (40-hour week, 8 hours per day, 5 days with 2 days off) in Venice.

You will shadow the Tutor, learn the hotel reservation process, handle requests, verify availability, explain policies, input data in the reservation system, and assist in maximizing revenue through sales techniques. Proficiency in English and Italian, and MS Office are preferred.

• Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers.

• Answer questions about property facilities/services and room accommodations.
• Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue.
• Input and access data in reservation system.
• Indicate special room reservation types by inputting the correct code and rate into the reservation system.

What you will do

The purpose of the Internship is to give the Intern an overview of the Company and Hotel organization and understand the role of the different departments

Within the specific department, the Trainee will shadow and actively support the Tutor in order to acquire professional skills. At the end of the internship program the Intern will be able to:
