The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, part of Marriott International, is seeking a Reservations Intern to join our Venice team. This full-time internship offers a structured overview of hotel operations across departments and hands-on exposure to the reservations process.

You will shadow experienced staff, process reservations, changes, and cancellations, learn rate types and policies, and develop skills in guest communication within a luxury hospitality setting.

Competenze

• Bachelor/Master Degree in Hospitality or humanities is required or preferred.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Italian.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Passion for luxury hospitality; teamwork, communication and problem solving skills.
• Can-do attitude with strong motivation and enthusiasm.

• Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations by phone, fax, or Email.
• Identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room type.
• Verify availability of room type and rate.
• Explain guarantees, special rates, and cancellation policies to callers.
• Accommodate and document special requests.

• Indicate special room reservation types by inputting the correct code and rate into the system.
• Follow proper escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns.

The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, part of Marriott International, is currently looking for a Reservations Intern.

It is a full-time internship (40-hour working week made of 8 hours per 5 days and 2 days off).

What You Will Do

The purpose of the Internship is to give the Intern an overview of the Company and Hotel organization and understand the role of the different departments

Skills

Within the specific department, the Trainee will shadow and actively support the Tutor in order to acquire professional skills. At the end of the internship program the Intern will be able to:

• Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or Email.


• Identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room type.


• Verify availability of room type and rate.


• Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers.


• Accommodate and document special requests.

Answer Questions About Property Facilities/services And Room Accommodations.

• Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue.


• Input and access data in reservation system.


• Indicate special room reservation types by inputting the correct code and rate into the reservation system.


• Follow proper escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns.
