By integrating satellite imagery, large-scale mobility data, and crowd mapping, MindEarth delivers actionable insights across specific sectors such as urban management, transportation, infrastructure, real estate, insurance, marketing technology (MarTech), and socio-demographic analysis.

About the role:

We are looking for a Researcher/Scientific Writer to join our team and support our research and innovation efforts. The main responsibility of this role is to collaborate closely with our technical team (data scientists, engineers, and researchers) to write and publish high-quality scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. You will play a key role in shaping and disseminating the scientific output of our organization.

Key responsibilities:

• Co-author scientific publications in collaboration with technical staff.
• Lead the drafting, editing, and submission of journal articles, white papers, and conference abstracts.
• Synthesize results from research projects and convert them into structured, high-quality manuscripts.
• Ensure scientific rigor, clarity, and adherence to journal requirements and style guidelines.
• Track submission deadlines and revise manuscripts based on reviewer comments.

Required qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in a scientific or technical field (e.g., Environmental Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, Geoinformatics or related).
• Proven track record of writing and publishing scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
• Excellent written English and ability to translate technical concepts into accessible narratives.
• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to engage constructively with interdisciplinary teams.

Technical skills

• Proficient in tools such as Overleaf (LaTeX) for document preparation, managing references with Zotero or Mendeley, and using Git for effective team synchronization.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning techniques applied specifically to Earth observation and mobility data.
• Skilled in clear scientific storytelling, transforming complex numbers and graphs into straightforward language understandable by both specialists and non-experts.
• Reliable in managing time efficiently, capable of handling multiple manuscripts simultaneously and consistently meeting journal and conference deadlines.
