Job summary

Galileo in Milan is seeking an M&A and Project Finance Associate/Manager to lead evaluation and execution of investment opportunities across solar, wind, storage projects. The role sits in the Project Finance team, reports to the Head of Project Finance, and offers a hybrid work model, cross-border collaboration across Europe, and a dynamic startup environment in renewable energy.

Qualifications

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or Management Engineering (STEM ok with economics/finance).
• 3–6 years in investment banking/M&A or project finance with energy/renewables exposure.
• Fluent Italian and English, other European language a plus.
• Strong ownership and ability to manage workstreams independently.

Responsibilities

• Structure, negotiate and execute project finance transactions and related debt raises.
• Own and review integrated financial models for project finance and M&A.
• Lead or co-lead buy-side/sell-side transactions with internal and external teams.
• Develop market entry strategies and new business models in renewables.
• Prepare investment memoranda for Investment Committee and senior management.
• Coordinate due diligence and ensure smooth post-closing handover.
