Job summary

Galileo Green Energy GmbH, a fast-growing renewables developer and operator, is seeking an M&A and Project Finance Analyst based in Milan with a hybrid work option. You will help evaluate investments, build financial models, and support cross- Mediterranean expansion strategies.

You will report to the Head of Project Finance, contribute across solar, wind, and storage projects, and participate in shaping the company’s European growth path.

Qualifications

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Up to 2 years of experience in consulting, PE, infra funds, investment banking/M&A or project finance.
• Strong financial modelling and quantitative skills.
• Fluent Italian and English; another European language is a plus.
• Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to sell-side, buy-side and partnership transactions from inception to closing.
• Build and maintain integrated financial models for M&A, project valuation and project finance.
• Analyze and roll out strategic entry in new geographies and new business models (solar I&C, BESS, floating offshore).
• Support analysis of project economics and investment returns across development, construction and operations.
• Assist in structuring, negotiation and execution of project finance, refinancing and debt-raising activities.

Galileo is a fast-growing renewable energydeveloper, investor and operator . Our mission is tomake a meaningful contribution to the European renewable energy transition . This year, we completed our transition to Independent Power Producer(IPP) in Italy, our first market for owned operating assets, with the ambitionto extend this model to other key European markets in the coming years.

Since our foundation in 2020, we have secured a pipeline of over17 GWofsolarPV,onshore wind,offshore windandstorageprojects across 9 marketsin Europe.

We are looking for a M&A and Project Finance Analyst to assist in evaluating and executing new investment opportunities andfinancing solutions across different renewable energy technologies (solar PV,wind onshore and offshore as well as BESS).Working across the M&A andProject Finance teams, this person will be based in Milan(with thepossibility of hybrid remote working)and report to the Head of Project Finance.

What you'll do:

• Contribute to the successfulexecution of sell-side, buy-side and partnership transactions by working on thewhole spectrum from inception to closing.
  
• Build and maintain integrated financial modelsfor M&A, project valuation and project finance purposes, includingsensitivity analyses and scenario assessments.

Requirements

What you'll need:

• Excellentacademic background with a degree in Economics, Finance, BusinessAdministration or Management Engineering (degrees in STEM are also suitable, ifaccompanied with background in economics or finance);
  
• Initial work experience (ideally upto 2 years) within consulting, private equity, infrastructure funds, investmentbanking/M&A, or corporate M&A or project finance functions, with adesirable focus in the energy/renewables business;
  
• Financial modelling experience andstrong analytical and quantitative skills;
  
• Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills in Italian and English. Another European language would bea plus;
  
• Enthusiasm and self-motivation,including a willingness to take on new challenges and broad responsibilities;
  
• Ability to prioritize several concurrent tasks inafat-fast-paced environment and prove resilient in the face of challenges anddisappointments.

• Competitive compensation: 40,000 - 55,000 € gross annual total compensation package, composed of fixed gross annual salary (RAL) and annual performance bonus, based on experience, skills and role responsibilities.
