Job summary

Propio Language Services is seeking a remote Spanish contract interpreter to join its OnDemand PropioONE service. The role involves providing consecutive interpretation and adhering to client protocols, confidentiality, and ethics across diverse assignments including medical and legal topics.

Applicants must submit an English resume, demonstrate ILR 3+ proficiency, complete medical terminology assessments, and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Resume in English submitted at time of application.
• ILR level of 3 or higher on the ILR scale (technical proficiency).
• Successful completion of Mock oral interpretation session.
• Completion of Propio's online Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology Assessment, with a passing score.
• Full Background Check and Security Screen.
• Commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics, and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provides consecutive, first-person interpretation.
• Follows interpreter protocols and procedures as required by Propio L.S. clients.
• Follows all Propio L.S. policies and procedures related to information confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
• Continuously improves vocabulary and specialized subject matter knowledge, as required for various clients, such as medical, legal, social services, etc.
