Alpha Impulsion in Naples seeks a propulsion engineer specializing in thermal and fluid dynamics to advance propellant feed systems for our autophage rocket engines.

You will develop cooling circuits, run system-level models and CFD analyses, and collaborate across locales, from design to testing. The role demands strong autonomy, English fluency, and a track record with cryogenic or high-enthalpy fluids.

Competenze

• Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Thermal Engineering with advanced thermodynamics specialization.
• Experience regeneratively cooling on a test-proven engine is required.
• Strong expertise in complex fluid thermodynamics and near-critical/cryogenic fluids.
• Proficiency with 0D/1D to 3D CFD tools for validated designs.
• Experience in test design and data reduction.

Mansioni

• Size and design regenerative cooling circuits for hybrid and cryogenic engines.
• Develop engine cycle and thermal architectures from system models to 3D CFD.
• Conduct parametric trade studies to optimize cycle and cooling geometry.
• Implement advanced thermal protection strategies including film cooling.
• Define test configurations and instrumentation plans; interpret data.
• Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, and propulsion teams across sites.
