Job summary

Lifted, an Upwork Company™, is seeking CFD and Aerodynamic Engineers to train and evaluate AI systems by applying real-world engineering expertise. The role involves designing CFD tasks, setting up simulations with OpenFOAM, and creating verifiable reference solutions.

Work is fully remote as an independent contractor with flexible hours (10–39 per week) and weekly payments at $80–$110 per hour. Experience with boundary conditions, mesh generation, and turbulence modeling is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with OpenFOAM for CFD simulations.
• Strong foundations in fluid mechanics, aerodynamics and heat transfer.

Responsibilities

• Design CFD/aerodynamics tasks to evaluate AI models’ engineering reasoning.
• Develop clear problem statements covering boundary conditions, mesh quality, and setup.
• Create deterministic scoring checkers to evaluate AI-generated responses.
• Produce verified reference solutions and refine tasks for clarity and accuracy.
