Upwork is seeking CFD and Aerodynamic Engineers to design focused tasks for evaluating AI models. The role emphasizes real-world engineering via OpenFOAM, including problem statements, reference solutions, and scoring checkers.

You will work remotely in a flexible, asynchronous environment, collaborating on boundary conditions, mesh quality, and flow regimes while producing verifiable tasks for AI systems.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or closely related discipline).
• Hands-on experience using OpenFOAM for CFD simulations.
• Strong foundation in fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, and heat transfer.
• Experience with mesh generation, turbulence modeling, boundary conditions, post-processing and analysis.
• Ability to write clear, precise, and verifiable engineering problems.
• Excellent written English communication.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

• Design compact CFD and aerodynamics tasks to evaluate AI models' engineering reasoning.
• Create clear problem statements covering boundary conditions, mesh quality, flow regimes, and simulation setup.
• Develop deterministic scoring checkers to objectively evaluate AI-generated responses.
