Reinsurance Accounting Associate - Milan

We are seeking an Associate with at least 2 years of experience in reinsurance accounting operations, ideally within Treaty business and across multiple lines of business. This is a full-time, hybrid work model.

Max Gross Annual Salary (RAL): €40,000

Minimum Requirements

1. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an insurance company, reinsurance broker, or reinsurance firm
2. Fluency in English (spoken and written)
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
4. Ability to read and interpret insurance/reinsurance contracts
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
7. Comfortable with multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities

• Book transactions, issue invoices, handle collections, and cash allocation
• Support the Finance Manager in monthly financial reporting, payments, and cash-flow analysis
• Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with controls
• Collaborate with underwriters to review complex reinsurance transactions
• Manage technical accounts: commission adjustments, profit commissions, premium revisions
• Record and reconcile reinsurance payables and receivables in the general ledger
• Follow up on open balances with ceding companies
• Coordinate with the Operations Team to ensure all treaties are accurately accounted
• Participate in ad hoc projects and finance-related tasks
• Monitor and update brokerage revenue forecasts
