Sobi is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive commercial success in metabolic diseases across a regional field team. You will deploy and execute go-to-market strategies, lead account planning, and collaborate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Patient Access, and Commercial Excellence to ensure a unified, patient-centered approach.

The role demands strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and a deep understanding of the cardiometabolic landscape, with autonomy to shape regional plans

Competenze

  • University degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven track record in pharmaceutical/biotech sales leadership within Specialty Care.
  • Demonstrated experience managing products during launch phases.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical and strategic skills; translate data into commercial plans.
  • Proven people management experience with direct responsibility for performance coaching and development.

Job Description

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) plays a key role in driving Sobi’s commercial success in the Therapeutic Area of Metabolic Diseases. The RSM will lead and develop a high-performing regional field team, driving the deployment and execution of the commercial go-to-market strategy, and act as a multiplier of Sobi’s values, vision, and strategic priorities. The RSM will be a key contributor to strategic and conceptual decision-making, ensuring commercial strategies reflect patient needs, market realities, competitive dynamics, and long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own overall commercial results, including product sales and performance KPI.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and lead a team of Key Account Managers to high performance levels.
  • Apply a full leadership model: manager, leader, coach, trainer, advisor, and mentor.
  • Drive continuous development with robust performance‑management routines, individual development plans, and capability‑building sessions.
Field Force Excellence & Execution
  • Coordinate and operationalize regional sales activities (e.g., education events, promotional initiatives).
  • Monitor activity execution using Company dashboards, KPIs, and market data and secure accurate reporting of insights in CRM
  • Ensure high‑quality, compliant interactions.
  • Conduct regular field visits to coach team members, support account strategies, and maintain strong customer understanding.
  • Oversee sales force planning, including territory optimization, targeting, and call planning. Supports and coaches on the deployment of omnichannel activities to drive business objectives
Strategic & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Contribute to regional strategic planning with insights from the field, competitive intelligence, and market dynamics.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Patient Access and Commercial Excellence to ensure “one Sobi” toward customers and stakeholders.
  • Provide systematic feedback loops to ensure local insights—customer needs, competitor actions, barriers—are fully reflected in Sobi’s strategic plans.
  • Ensure seamless coordination of capability planning with marketing and medical counterparts.
  • Strengthen customer networks and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across regions.
  • Guide account planning and conduct regular account review meetings; monitor budget, sales progress, and productivity.
  • Represent Sobi in key customer engagements, ensuring a consistent scientific and value‑based commercial message
  • Utilises company dashboard to identify opportunities to deliver and exceed regional/subregional targets.
Compliance Governance
  • Ensure full adherence to local regulations, Sobi policies, and compliance standards.
  • Guarantee timely completion of all required training for both yourself and direct reports
Qualifications
  • University degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven track record in pharmaceutical/biotech sales leadership, within Specialty Care.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing products during launch phases in a cross functional environments.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical and strategic skills—ability to translate data (market data, Veeva insights, competitive intelligence) into concrete commercial plans
  • Proven People Management experience: previous experience managing and developing teams is required, including direct responsibility for performance management, coaching, talent development, and fostering a high-performance cultureExperience in the relevant Cardio- Metabolic therapeutic area is preferred.
  • Excellent stakeholder‑management skills and ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with medical, marketing, and patient access teams.
  • Excellent written and spoken English

For this position, we are offering:

  • The salary range for this role is€65,000to€95,000gross per year, depending on the candidate’s level of experience, seniority, and demonstrated competencies.
