A leading company in electric mobility is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for Italy. The candidate will promote electric bus fleets by coordinating internal teams and building relationships with city officials. Ideal candidates have proven automotive sales experience and strong negotiation skills, ready for significant travel obligations.

Competenze

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as Sales Manager or Country Manager in automotive field.
  • Excellent English & another European language skills.
  • Certifications in Value-added selling and high-level negotiation are highly appreciated.

Join to apply for the Regional Sales Manager - Italy role at BYD EUROPE .

The Regional Sales Manager promotes the sales of electric bus fleets in his region of responsibility, by developing and maintaining high level contacts and a fluid relation with existing and potential customers (PTA and PTO). In addition, the Regional Sales Manager coordinates the activities of the supporting teams at the HQ and in the Netherlands related to the regional tenders and orders.

The Regional Sales Manager is part of the sales department and reports to the VP of Sales.

Key responsibilities :

  • Coordinate, supervise and support the activities of the BYD team allocated to his region of responsibility, including the sales assistant, tender specialist and aftersales team (in coordination with the After-sales Manager Europe);
  • Generate and maintain contacts with the cities interested in sourcing electric buses;
  • Provide the cities with the information needed to design the bus tenders using a consulting approach;
  • Lead the supporting team at the HQ and in Europe to prepare the tender bids;
  • Ensure the achievement of the sales and profitability targets for his region of responsibility.
  • Draft a plan of cities to approach based on volume and repeatability criteria;
  • Initiate and maintain contacts with city officials and bus operators;
  • Define with customer required specifications, delivery times and costs;
  • Report the pipeline status regularly;
  • Ensure the company sales targets;
  • Ensure the company margin target for the area;
  • Lead by example regarding health, safety and environmental awareness. Make sure that team members work according to determined processes, safety and environmental instructions;
  • Keeping departmental processes up to date, inform HSEQ manager in case changes are needed. Report improvement opportunities in the organization, processes and incidents via an improvement note;
  • Manage the regional sales team.

Profile :

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as Sales Manager or Country manager in the automotive field, preferably bus sales;
  • Excellent English & another European language skills;
  • Highly skilled Excel and PowerPoint user;
  • Certifications of Value-added selling and high-level negotiation will be highly appreciated;
  • Ability to work with teams from various countries and cultural backgrounds, positive attitude;
  • Excellent negotiation skills, value-added selling, creative thinking, analytical reasoning, listening skills;
  • Ready for business travels up to 50 % of the time.
