SYNTEGON is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for the food industry in Italy to handle sales responsibilities for Horizontal Secondary and Vertical packaging machines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales background, ideally in capital equipment, and have excellent interpersonal skills. This position includes significant customer engagement, market research, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure long-term client satisfaction.

Competenze

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in capital equipment sales.
  • Knowledge of Horizontal Secondary and Vertical Packaging technology or food industry preferred.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and within Italy/Europe up to 60%.

Are you ready to be the first point of contact for new machine inquiries in the food industry in Italy? As a Regional Sales Manager at Syntegony, you will take on the commercial responsibilities for our portfolio of Horizontal Secondary and Vertical machines. Supported by our technical experts, you will guide the entire sales process and ensure long-term customer satisfaction.

  • Responsible for a defined sales area for the Food Horizontal Secondary and Vertical production lines.
  • Identify the needs for new equipment of existing and new customers.
  • Acquire new customers and maintain relationships with existing ones.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers and monitor market trends.
  • Actively prospect and follow up on industry marketing campaigns.
  • Plan and prepare for customer visits and submit visit reports.
  • Participate in trade fairs and customer events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (not mandatory) and a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales of capital equipment.
  • Preferable knowledge of Horizontal Secondary and Vertical Packaging technology or the food industry, along with experience in capital sales of packaging equipment, particularly within the dry food industry.
  • Experienced in value selling techniques and working with high-end technology market leaders.
  • Excellent customer management skills with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and within Italy/Europe up to 60% of the time.
  • Ability to handle contract negotiations with the support of your manager and back-office teams.
  • Close collaboration with internal departments both locally and abroad.
