In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

Reporting into the country manager, the Regional Sales Manager:

  • Accountability for customer relationships and performance in a specific territory, managing a sales team of 10+ FTEs to maximize revenue and profitable growth for Abbott, in collaboration with Market Access, Marketing, Education & Customer Program departments.
  • Making key decisions around strategy and following the priorities of the assigned territory, including key opinion leader (KOL) management plans and corrective actions for underperforming situations.
  • Maintaining and expanding deep and broad relationships with accounts, customers, and professionals within the medical community.
  • Working closely with the FTE Supervisor to ensure optimal territory technical coverage and to guarantee the best clinical support for complex procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent, with typically five to seven plus years of sales or clinical support experience, demonstrating influence over customers in a healthcare setting; experience in the medical device industry, especially cardiology or cardiac medical devices, is preferred.
  • Aptitude to analyze and evaluate technologically complex devices.
  • Familiarity with medical device industry policies, operations, and procedures.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a wide variety of customers and colleagues, adapting communication styles and directing others as needed.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 70% of the time.
